Head of Talent
We're looking for a Head of Talent to join our team in Sydney, Australia.

We are Inventia Life Science and we are radically changing the way the world treats disease and injury. We're a multidisciplinary team, deeply inspired by the purpose of innovating for the better and backed by top-tier venture capital funds. We are now looking for a Head of Talent to come on board and help us grow the team through this very exciting phase of local and global growth.
This role provides a greenfield environment for someone to come and make a significant impact. This role will not be pigeon-holed into sourcing. It will encompass everything from identification and engagement of outstanding talent, to employer branding, systems and process, workforce planning and so much more. You won’t be a cog in a machine. The role will provide you with a platform to create something truly exceptional with global impact, which makes the world a better place, while working directly with the founders of the company.
The current team sits at just under 50. Our revolutionary 3D cell biology technology enables pioneers in the fields of drug discovery and medicine to radically drive innovation from disease treatment (in areas such as cancer) through to the way we treat injuries. Our founders come from diverse backgrounds - Aidan (PhD Fluid Dynamics), Cam (PhD Biofabrication) and Julio (PhD Medicine) - with strong commercial acumen and supported by an incredible team inspired by making a global impact with our revolutionary technology.
The role will report directly to the founder and COO and be responsible for all aspects of the talent acquisition function, including strategy, systems, people, process, branding, reporting and forecasting.
To be considered for this role we need someone with the following,
- Hands on experience in fast-growth environment
- Experience in designing and delivering innovative talent sourcing and pipeline strategies that scaled to meet business objectives
- Experience driving all talent processes across workforce planning, strengths and gaps, identification of themes, recommendations and strategic reporting
- Experience in translating founders vision into a unique and exceptional talent acquisition process
- Developed and managed an employment brand, with a very clear focus on driving outstanding talent
- Managed a TA team, which has resulted in achieving not only headcount targets, but also quality of hire, which you’ve been able to quantify.
- Managed 3rd party partners, including ATS providers, Linkedin, JobBoards, Talent Branding and external agencies, both search and contingent.
As the protector of our culture, this role will work across all functions and act as a key strategic hub for the growth of the business.
