Sydney, Australia — 14 October 2022 — Today, Inventia Life Science was honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Most Innovative Companies. The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review BOSS, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges.
We were honoured to rank 7th on the Health Industries list, from over 700 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The assessment is based on Inventium's Innovation Framework which comprises the nine elements science has shown to drive innovation. The assessment also judges the organisation's top innovation from the previous two years. Specifically, the judges look at how valuable the problem is that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had.
Inventia was thrilled to be recognised for Inventia’s innovation, RASTRUM™. Driven by the needs of biomedical scientists, we have developed a precise and intuitive platform for 3D printing of living cells. RASTRUM™, is a game-changing 3D cell culture platform that’s accelerating the quest to cure cancer and debilitating diseases. With applications in cell-based research including drug discovery and disease modeling, the RASTRUM™ 3D cell culture platform is revolutionising biomedical research.
RASTRUM™ is the world’s first high-throughput 3D cell culture platform designed specifically for cell biology. The RASTRUM™ platform is an automated and holistic platform powered by the RASTRUM™ 3D bioprinter to create 3D cell cultures to mimic human tissue, by printing bio-inks and cells in a highly controlled way. The innovative technology empowers scientists to print 3D cell cultures at unprecedented speed, replacing a time-consuming and manual process.
RASTRUM™ produces 3D cell cultures that are compatible with a range of workflows and analysis techniques used in cell biology meaning that scientists can spend more time on their research and less time on optimisation processes. Designed with simplicity in mind so that even a person without prior experience in bioprinting can use the platform and generate meaningful results in an intuitive way that enables a streamlined user experience. Last year’s winner in the Health Industries category was ellume.
Julio Ribeiro, Founder and CEO of Inventia Life Sciences commented, “We are delighted that Inventia has been recognised for its innovation. RASTRUM™ has had a significant impact for our customers and enabled them to generate high impact research on treatments for many debilitating diseases. It should dramatically expand capacity for research and drug development in preclinical 3D cell models. We already work with four of the top ten largest pharmaceutical companies in the world which is a testament to the value it brings world leading scientists.”
